WORD FOR THE WISE:PROVERBS
PROVERB OF THE DAY: 27:18 Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.
Waiting in this text does not mean idleness. Waiting means serving! As the servant waits on his Master, fufilling all His will, We must guard the fig tree, representing that which our Master, the Lord Jesus has entrusted to us-His word, and the gospel therein! We must cherish it, and protect it, and delight in it, so that we eat if it, and are nourished by it ourselves. Be thankful that God has put you in His service, find your place, stand, and guard what He has given you with your very life, for through it, He has given you life eternally! And the promise is clear: if we honour Him, He will surely honour us!
